UPB engineers receive “Engineer of the Year” and “Junior Engineer of the year” awards

On 5th of September, in VEF cultural palace “Grand awards in Construction Industry” ceremony was held during which the leading industry members received the Latvian construction industries highest acknowledgement. 

During the ceremony the main awards or the “The Foundation Stones” were distributed in three categories: “Lifelong contribution to Construction Industry”, “Engineer/Architect of the Year” and “Junior Engineer of the Year”. This year UPB nominated two candidates- Glazed Project Engineer Guntars Roga for “Engineer of the Year” award and Structural Engineer Matiss Sakne for “Junior Engineer of the Year” acknowledgement. 

Both of our candidates were given “The Foundation Stone” as they were recognized as the best within their categories and the Public sympathy award which was determined via a public vote. 

This year, during “Grand awards in Construction Industry” a total of 29 laureates were evaluated by an international jury consisting of 39 industry experts.
